In a bid to accelerate the adoption of green energy solutions, NHPC has announced an extension of the tender deadline for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract. The project aims to establish a pilot project for a Green Hydrogen Mobility Station in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, along with comprehensive operations and maintenance for a period of three years.
- Bid Process: The tender follows a Single Stage-Two Part Bidding Basis, comprising Part-I: QR+Technical-Bid and Part-II: Financial Bid.
- Extended Deadline for Submission: Bidders must submit their bids online by March 15, 2024, before 05:30 PM.
Technical Criteria for Bidders:
- Bidders need to meet specific technical criteria, including expertise in hydrogen production systems.
- Eligibility criteria encompass being an OEM of PEM water electrolyzer or having experience in erection and commissioning of hydrogen production systems.
- Collaboration with OEMs is also an option for qualification.

Financial Eligibility:
- Bidders must demonstrate a satisfactory financial standing to qualify for the tender.
- The average annual turnover during the last three years ending March 31, 2023, should not be less than Rs 5.79 Crore.
- Positive net worth on the closing day of any three financial years out of the last five years is required.
