GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF GHORAMARA ISLAND: The Ghoramara Island is an island 92 km south of Kolkata, India in the Sundarban Delta complex of the Bay of Bengal. The island is small, roughly five square kilometre in area. Most of the houses are mud house. There are only concrete roads of width 5-6ft. There is no conventional electricity available in the island.
